Secertary Report:

Motion made by Catherine Ott to begin first meeting for 2016-2017 PTA meeting, seconded by Beth Pratt, passed unanimously.

Rachel Zipperian motioned to use savings of $4600 to cover budget deficit, seconded by Velda Cunningham, passed unanimously.

Presidents Report:

Introductions were made, each person acknowledges their role for 2016-2017 PTA.

Meeting schedule was discussed as far as how often, location, time and purpose of PTA meetings.

PTA will continue to use Facebook and email as communication

Send any volunteer needs to Dr. Finke and he will send out sign-up genius blast.

Committee Reports/New Business:

Walk-a-thon – Goal will be $19K which amounts to $30/student. Communication to follow

Budget reports reviewed.

360 Communications – Meeting to be held 9/22 at 630pm – generate ideas to bridge the gap

Directory printing cost $450

Kroger – Ways to encourage new signs -ups and remind people to renew. Information to be sent home and passed out in car -line. Prizes to include candy, scholastic dollars

Consider having Team Inspire to take on Box-top project for Spring (deadline is March 15)

Book fair – teachers were given $250 in books for their classroom thanks to book fair sales in spring. Need to remind families that book fair sales give back to our school.

PTA was able to help supply teachers with hoodies as welcome back gift as well as lunch and purchase of movie license

Walkathon – this year goal is for multiple IPads and Color Touch

Rachel Zipperian motioned to end meeting. Next meeting 10/14 2pm
